These pictures were taken by the huron river. They are both taken at this tree that lays out over the water, which is fun to walk on. I chose to take my photos here because I thought the scenery was nice! one triumph I had with these photos is that the river was so frozen you were able to walk out on the ice a little, which is how I was able to take the second photo. These photos, to me, allude to a sense of loneliness. The singular tree or branch with a rather minimal backdrop.
Pastel Branches
Spot the Sheep
These photos were taken of the trees on the playground at northside school (now known as steam), facing my house. I chose to capture these trees because I though the silhouette looked very pretty against the light glow of the sunset. I was also waiting to meet up with a friend so we could go take photos together! One of the small issues I had was the reason all the tree photos are taken from farther up the tree instead of the base is because If I had taken them lower down, houses from across the street would have shown in the photos. Anyways, I'm quite satisfied with how these turned out! And they remind me of hanging out on this playground when I was younger. So I suppose I'm trying to convey a sense of nostalgia or joy.
Flying Solo
Little Island
These pictures weren't taken anywhere specific, just some little things I noticed in the snow. I think the filter on the second one is especially nice. A error I had with these photos is that I don't think the leaf one is overall that good or interesting, but I'm leaving it in anyways just because I wanted some photos that were more zoomed in on singular objects as opposed to fuller landscapes.
Parallel Planes
Wobbly
These photos were also taken alongside huron river, just viewed from a different spot. I feel like these photos portray what I would typically think of as a landscape. A triumph I had with these photos is the color palate, It's very nice and wintery. I love taking photos in the snow. The emotion I would be portraying is gloomy.
Through the Forst
Twinning
These photos were taken on the walk to the river! I honestly don't have much to say about them, but I love going on this path because I used to take walks here all the time with my mother, so it reminds me of her. I'm happy I was able to capture the sunset through the trees before it finished going down.
